IRISH INTERNATIONAL JONNY Sexton is facing a four to six-week spell on the sidelines after fracturing his jaw over the weekend.
Racing Métro have confirmed to TheScore.ie that Sexton suffered the injury while playing for the club against Toulon in the Top 14 on Saturday night.
The Parisians say their medical staff believe the Ireland out-half will be missing for four to six weeks, following a scan yesterday morning.
Sexton was injured during the first-half against Toulon after a late shoulder charge from Craig Burden, but he did complete 49 minutes of the game as his side won 17-10.
The injury is a blow to Irish coach Joe Schmidt, although he will expect that Sexton will recover to regain fitness for the November Tests, which begin with a clash against South Africa on November 8th.
