Weather

In pictures: Did somebody say 'snow'?

Days after glorious warm weather, Ireland had a visit from the white stuff…

LAST WEEK, TEMPERATURES hit 20 degrees in some areas as Ireland basked in sunshine. This week, it’s snowing.

The white stuff blanketed several areas of the country yesterday, with the Wicklow mountains among the worst hit.

But it looks like the worst is over, for now at least. According to Met Éireann today will be dry, with only a little patchy drizzle in northern areas.

However, temperatures may still fall as low as minus two tonight.
