Nostalgia

Would these posters entice you to visit Ireland?

Check out these amazing aviation advertisements from Aer Lingus, TWA and others during the 1950s and 1960s.

BACK WHEN FLYING was glamorous and you received meals like this and not this, airlines themselves tried to entice customers to exotic locations.

Using picturesque images of Irish lakes, prose by Bernard Shaw, friendly Gardaí and the hospitality of air hostesses, Aer Lingus (Irish Air Lines), TWA, Pan American and others tried to lure tourists to the Emerald Isle.

Would you be convinced by these 1950s and 1960s posters? (Thanks to Dublin Airport for bringing these to our attention through their Pinterest page.)
