With such a pact comes the explicit violation of the principal of impartiality in the Good Friday Agreement. If it is acceptable to break that agreement to maintain a temporary British government in office, what must the EU negotiators be thinking regarding Brexit agreements? What credibility does this leave Westminster when talking with Brussels etc?
