JAMES MCCLEAN DID not mince his words following Irelandโs hugely underwheming performance against Kazakhstan this evening.
Following their fortunate 2-1 win against a side ranked number 142 in the world, the winger tweeted: โDelighted as a fan we got the win.. Personal level #fumingโ.
McClean had previously risked upsetting Trapattoni by tweeting that he was fully fit to play, despite the Italian manager opting to pick Simon Cox ahead of him on the wing tonight.
And this latest tweet is likely to land McClean in hot water, despite the winger deleting it minutes after he had posted it.
Darren Gibson got it spot on. Why go all that way to warm the bench
Well said
Well said Paul
Personally, Iโd love to go to Kazakhstan for free.
heโs not lying but as if trap didnt need another excuse to bench him
Trap is a joke.
Hopefully his tweet wonโt affect his chances of inclusion in the next teamโฆโฆ..with any luck Crapattoni will be long gone by then.
Oh god why couldnโt he just leave twitter until the next day when his head was clear, this will do him no good!
great career move, Jimbo.
They read out the full tweet on NewsTalk earlier on. He certainly didnโt hold back. I think he has a point though. Heโs a winger and strikers were being put on in his position ahead of him while he got a trip to Kazakhstan to watch the match.
Heโs young & doesnโt have the experience to just say the usual standard speak. Heโs twitted what every single player and supported is thinking.
Delaney show some guts, sack the Trap and letโs give OโBrienโs money to Harry.
Heโs just saying what we all feel, fair play
McClean has just tweeted an apology
