Motorcyclist (34) killed in Tipperary crash

The man is the 16th motorcyclist to be killed on Ireland’s roads so far this year.

A MOTORCYCLIST HAS died in a fatal road traffic collision with a car in Tipperary last night.

The crash happened at around 10pm at Boulick near Thurles last night when the car and motorcycle collided. The 34-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.

His body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place later today.

The female driver of the car was uninjured.

The road is closed this morning while a technical and forensic examination of the scene is carried out.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
