Is this the end? British PM David Cameron debuts his glasses

It’s seen as a big deal in Britain.

A NUMBER OF political commenters across the water believe there was a sign today from 10 Downing Street that David Cameron’s career could be about to hit a speedbump.

And, no, it was nothing to do with the high-stakes crisis in Syria or tonight’s UN Security Council meeting.

It was a matter of spectacles.

Actual spectacles.

The British Prime Minister wore a pair of glasses into the House of Commons for the first time today.

But the Conservative leader told his Twitter followers that he has actually been using the glasses since June and today was just their first public appearance.

His reluctance to debut the new accessory was reminiscent of his predecessor’s battle with his eyesight and THAT did not go unnoticed.

The Guardian called Tony Blair’s first appearance in glasses as a “watershed moment” in his career, while another tweeter had no reluctance in calling it “the beginning of the end”.

Again, not to dissimilar to Blair who admitted to feeling “self conscious” about the change back in 1999, The Telegraph pointed out that Cameron “appeared to take them off when the cameras were pointing towards him, then put them back on when they were filming MPs”.

It is not the first time that Cameron’s eyewear has received attention. Remember the wraparounds of Wimbledon 2013?

What do you think? Would you think it is noteworthy if Enda Kenny pulled on a pair of glasses in the Dáil chambers?

Sudden stratospheric warming from ice melting and exposing ground, water and rock that absorbs heat and this creates high pressure from the released heat that goes up so fast as heat rises and so high that the volumn of air falls when it gets too high. It then falls fast over the ice and cold and brings sub zero temperatures down as far as the polar jet stream that acts like a barrier to the temperatures. Ice and snow would reflect this because they reflect light and light can create heat on exposed surfaces like rock, ground and even water.
So the poles get warmer in winter than they should and then cool the seas more in the summer due to more ice melting like what is happening the gulf stream this summer…

Climate change is going to be one of the biggest drivers of any future refugee crisis as crops die and families can’t feed themselves. I only hope we show them more compassion than we showed to the children who died in the halting site fire.

They say a calm September means a windy November and that a calm October means a windy December and a frosty snowy one as well? The number of days of fog in October relates to days of snow in December.
