EVERY YEAR IT seems to get earlier and earlier. In August of this year Brown Thomas in Dublin were getting their Christmas section of the store ready and now it seems Tesco is following suit.

I was in college in those days. I know I liked some oasis songs but it’s all a bit of a blur to be honest.

Loved both, but gotta go with Blur. Purely for the eye candy factor. Damon Albarn and Alex James were hot!

Blur had a few good songs, but oasis had a few good albums, big difference, oasis were better all said and done.
Still, being a big Beatles fan, I could take or leave oasis too.
Incomparable, apart from their respective influences being derived from popular music associated with the Mod scene of the mid 1960′s and Mod Revival of the late 1970′s early 1980′s. All the Beatles talk, particularly from Oasis was a bit lame and thrown out there to avoid music media pigeonholing. Bought most of both bands material on vinyl which was getting harder to come by in the late 1990′s, apart from special order. Blur quit while they were ahead, Oasis dragged it out a bit too long. Met Noel Gallagher when he roadied for Inspirial Carpets, met Blur in Thurles at Féile ’95, all sound guys, doing their own thing, great days.
