WONDERING WHAT THE deal is with people who spend days in line waiting for a new iPhone?
Independent filmmaker Casey Neistat made a great short film about this weird subculture.
There’s a range of people who do it. Some are there professionally (they’re paid by people who want the iPhone first, but don’t have the time). Some are gadget obsessed.
And some seem completely reckless, like this person below who was sleeping on the sidewalk, using a plastic bag (what!?) to shield themselves from the elements.
The best part comes at the end of the video, when the people talk about how OBVIOUSLY they’re going for the gold iPhone.

Maybe that one guy wasn’t lying and most of the them are there to buy it for rich aholes, if I was a rich ahole id pay people to do stuff like that!

Why do people wait in line forever just to buy an iPhone? Because they’re morons without an imagination who would eat crap in a bun if McDonalds told them to. As if to prove my point we see a man sleeping with his head wrapped in plastic.
You’d think that Apple only made a few hundred phones. Some people are so thick. Samsung galaxy S4 is a better phone. (In my humble opinion.) Apple iPad is excellent though.

And why are people going to second hand shops and online sites where sellers charge 550 euro for used Iphone 5s, most of which have been got either for nothing or cheaply as upgrades?
Do not understand this at all.. It’s just a phone. It’s just a thing, that will last a very small amount of time.. Like people camping out for GTA.. If you don’t get it in the first few days it’s not the end of the world!
I wish I could remember the saying, but in terms of where it all went wrong, when we started putting a higher value on things than we do on actual people.
Don’t see the big deal with iPhone and iPad. I used to use windows and android and when I made the switch over to apple I was amazed at the amount of things you couldn’t do on apple. Most over rated device in history!!!! I’m soldiering on with iPad(for now, i’ve plans to buy galaxy) but got rid of iPhone and now back on android. Much better!

Apple is a major talking point on the journal. Apple stories get huge amounts of interest in comments & views.
Personally Id ban all apple & android topics along with all man utd & liverpool stories.

Here’s an idea people, go home to your wife, husband and kids or whatever. wait a week walk in and buy one.
My mind cannot even grasp those sales that happen and people lining up for hours,let alone this madness!?? It makes Zero sense, and yet it is a trend, if two weeks from now another new iphone came out,the same dumb ( yes they must really be) people would line up again??? The Mind Boggles….
That guy is lucky he didn’t smother, wrapping himself in a plastic bag. (I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere about iPhone buyers). But that looks really dangerous.
Getting an Android is a much better investment.
You can upgrade/modify them however you like and they cost only a fraction of the price.
