PIC: It's pretty grim weather over Ireland right now

And there’s more rain on the way

image

THIS IS THE weather picture over Ireland this morning as rain moves in from the Irish Sea and blankets the northeast, east and south east.

Today we can expect more rain which Met Éireann warns will be persistent and heavy across the midlands, south, and east.

There’s even a risk of thunder.

Still, slightly better news is that the temperatures will remain pretty warm, reaching highs of 18 degrees Celsius.

So you’ll be wet and muggy. Hurrah.

    You’re right there Jeanie.

Even looking at the picture, by my guess that rain is affecting less than a third of the country but the report is given as “bad” for the country, forget the other 66% let’s focus on the rain. It just doesn’t make sense.

If it’s rains a little in dublin the whole of ireland gets to hear about it. If it rains out west we don’t hear a thing from the Dublin based media. There was a tornado in galway yesterday but we don’t hear about that.

You have to agree that if it’s sunny in dublin the radio and papers go mad for it and no matter if it’s dull and cloudy out the rest of the country. If it it sunny out west and raining in dublin. We out west don’t go rubbing your noses in it.
