'A great day for Irish democracy': Senators and Fianna Fáil toast referendum win

The moment of victory was sweet for some…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihnfgp2r9Ms

AN UNLIKELY COALITION of independent senators, including one of the Taoiseach’s nominees, and Fianna Fáil were at the count result centre in Dublin Castle today to toast their successful campaign for a No vote.

As the returning officer announced the 51.7 per cent to 48.3 per cent result in favour of the No side there were cheers and very little sign of anyone from the government side, which of course wanted a Yes vote.

After the formalities were completed there were handshakes all round:

How can one win an architecture award just on good location? The Kilsallagh one and the Marconi station are just good locations with nothing of architectural interest.

Most of them are hidious (especailly the modern ones) and completely impractical, (flat roofs in Ireland just means the designer has no grasp on reality) Are the older better quality desgins going to the original designers, or the nesw ones whove just stuck a few panes of glass in and cleaned the stonework?
