Man in critical condition after Cork crash

The man in his 30s was involved in a single car collision at Bridge Street in Bantry in the early hours of this morning.

GARDAÍ IN CORK are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred in Bantry, Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.

A male aged in his early 30s was seriously injured following the single car collision at Bridge Street at around 4am. He was taken to Bantry General Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The road has reopened to traffic following a forensic examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who were in the Bridge Street area of Bantry between 3.30am and 5am this morning to contact them.
