Ireland weather Met Eireann

Hold on to your brolly: Met Eireann says gusts of up to 130 km/hr possible today

Met Eireann says coastal areas are most at risk from strong winds today.

IT IS CERTAINLY not the day for an umbrella despite there being heavy showers.

Met Eireann has issued a level orange weather warning, telling people to be prepared for widespread heavy showers this afternoon. There is also a possibility of  thundery showers and hail.

Strong winds

However, today it will be very windy with west to northwest winds increasing strong and gusty. Winds will be extremely strong near west and south coasts with damaging gusts of up to 130 km/hr (80 mph) possible.

It will be particularly windy in coastal areas of Connacht, Munster and Leinster today, but especially in the southwest.

Today’s highest temperatures of 9 to 12 Celsius.

Heavy showers

If you’re heading out tonight, be prepared for heavy showers, some possibly thundery. It will continue to be windy for much of the night with strong, gusty west to northwest winds.

However, Met Eireann says winds will gradually ease overnight. Tonight’s temperatures will drop to 2 to 6 Celsius.

Everything is cheaper in China from your consumer goods right down to the cost of a persons life,
The western world needs to wake up and be proactive regarding making consumers aware what’s going on over there, It’s a bloody disgrace and no other country should tolerate the abuse and suffering this country does to it’s children,

There’s a book by an author named Porter called the price of everything I read a few months back that gave the exact stats…

Can’t recall precise figures but Something like countries like the USA were willing to pollute the environment/cut safety requirements to the extent of effectively taking one year of life from a person for $80k gain. The UK $67k, right down to China $1,200

The way we are going we won’t be long reproducing a similar accident in the west. Workers rights are being given up all over the place in the name of efficiency and productivity. The only benefactors being the wealthy capitalist class. How long before Chinese working conditions become the global norm? Workers have been shown to be powerless in the face of it all.
