Weird Wide Web: Handwriting, printing McDonalds toys and a creepy robot child

All of your essential tech and social media news for the week in one byte-sized portion.

WELCOME TO THE Weird Wide Web – where we take a look at the week’s best offerings in tech and social media news.

Big tech story of the week

Everyone’s talking about Twitter this week – and not because of some new feature introduced that they can’t get used to. The company debuted on Wall Street this week, and boy did they do it with a bang…

Keeping handwriting alive app of the week

The art of handwriting is not lost, with a number of apps and ‘smart pens’ allowing users to keep records of their handwritten notes on their tablets and smartphones, Business Insider reports. Just write or sketch on paper and the pens capture the words and pictures and store them for you, allowing you to edit and share the content as well. Nifty.
