  • The HSE has apologised to the 24 women whose pregnancies were misdiagnosed as miscarriages, after publishing a national review of miscarriage cases from the last five years.
  • The Equality Tribunal has awarded €35,000 to a transgender woman, after finding that she was discriminated against at work on the grounds of gender and disability.
  • There are suggestions today that Twitter might not be planning to base its European offices in Dublin and is instead considering a west London location.
  • Permanent TSB is introducing a new offer for its tracker mortgage customers. Those willing to increase the value of their monthly payments will receive a ten per cent discount off their total mortgage value. Meanwhile, economist Ronan Lyons believes Friday’s property firesale has given us some useful new information about the country’s property market.
  • Enda Kenny and Owen Paterson: separated at birth?
  • RTÉ confirmed to TheJournal.ie this evening that former Irish international soccer stars Ronnie Whelan and Ray Houghton will not be participating in the Soccer Sunday Live programme, following controversy over the Irish Sun’s sponsorship of the show.
  • The latest reinvention of the classic Volkswagen Beetle has been unveiled. In case you were wondering, this incarnation does not have the built-in flower vase of a previous redesign.
  • An artist has been arrested in Ukraine for a performance over three months ago which involved frying eggs over Kiev’s eternal flame, according to France24. The monument was built as a memorial to fallen soldiers and the Soviety victory over Nazi forces.
  • Hundreds of people lined the streets of Swindon, England, today for the funeral of Sian O’Callaghan, the BBC reports. A major search was launched for the 22-year-old when she failed to return home after a night out at a local club. Her body was subsequently discovered by police in a field and a murder investigation was launched.
  • At least 18 people have died in severe storms in China which brought torrential rains and destructive high winds, according to Al Jazeera.
  • An Irish ice hockey player is facing trial for damaging property in Croatia after being arrested in Zagreb on Saturday.
  • And on the subject of ice hockey… We’ve seen him stare down bears, teach judo, fly a fire-fighting plane and ride a Harley Davidson. Now, Russia’s prime minister Vladimir Putin has taken to the ice to show off his hockey skills:

    Brave Women of Iran and elsewhere often ignored by the western media because they are not part of groups like BLM or part of the Woke agenda This is placing your life on the line for freedom not gluing yourself to a Road or Railing so you can receive Media coverage for you cause.
