WHILE SOME OF us were tucked up in bed on Christmas morning or sitting by a warm fire, it’s become a Christmas tradition for some to leap off into the freezing waters of the 40 Foot in Dublin.

The numbers taking part in this Christmas Day swim have soared over the years, with the video showing how people now have to queue up in their togs and Santa hats to take that leap into the icy waters.
“Nothing is more refreshing than a Christmas Day swim in The 40 Foot in Dublin,” said the brave video-makers, and with air temperatures at 3 degrees Celsius and water temperature at 7 degrees Celsius, the boys deserve that bowl of hot soup they’re seen digging into at the end.
Well done to all the brave souls who decided to take the plunge yesterday. You’re braver than most!

Er, a Swedish trademark gives you exclusive rights in Sweden, and then only for the specific classes of goods and services you apply for. If you want pan EU rights, you need an EUTM, which costs a lot more than €370.
