Teenager due in court over assault on man in 50s

The man was left with serious head injuries, and was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital’s specialist unit for further treatment.

A 17-YEAR-OLD youth is due before court in Tullamore this morning in connection with an assault in Birr, Co Offaly on Monday.

A man in his 50s received serious head injuries in the attack, which happened on the town’s main street at around 3pm.

He was later airlifted to the specialist head trauma unit at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for treatment.

The teenager was questioned at Birr Garda Station in connection with the case.

He’s due to appear before Tullamore District Court later today.

    You see, in my book, fight fire with fire; a good hiding is about all a little pr*ck like that will understand if found guilty. Nothing else will really motivate a delinquent not to assault someone again.

    best wishes to the injured man and can i say that the legal system and law is a joke and is at odds with common law the right to defend ones life I know this too well ….harry price
