What a sexist title. So what if a teen girl was arrested?? Is she somehow different from everyone else? Shouldn’t the title be ’3 people arrested in organised crime bust’?

Aoife Barry, you are a sexist.

Its an ageist comment not sexist. By focusing on the teen part it draws more readers. Its sensationalism at its best. Thats what journalism is.

Is this headline sexist? It’s is written thinking we’d all be shocked at the idea of a ‘teen’ girl being involved in organised crime. Why would that shock us, unless of course we held onto that old notion that women are indeed the fairer sex of the Emily Bronte era! As if the loss of sweet innocence is the loss of hope and equates to the demise of decent society. Sexist much?

A rubbish story. Surprised they don’t call the teen a schoolgirl to try and make it sexual like irish media have a bad habit of doing
