this infatuation with labour puzzles me. the economy had collapsed by 2009. it has slowly been recovering since 2011. oddly enough that was around the same time labour went into givernment.

everyone is worse off brother. if the economy hadnt started to recover in 2011 the last two budgets would have had to be worse. deeper cuts in ps pay packets, cuts to old age pensions, increases in all taxes. things were really bad in 2009. we were down to a few weeks of cash to pay d bills. labour and fg have held this country together and brought it back from d economic abyss. i dont care if fg or labour get the credit but they both should get some credit.

Finbarr you only attack Labour because of its liberal views on abortion and gay marriage etc. FF wrecked the economy not Labour. Your reduction in earnings are due to the work of FF and it’s banker friends. But I’m sure you will vote FF again as you always did ha.

Especially with the huge currency difference between Sterling and Euro. Also this doesn’t take account of the huge cross border trade which goes undocumented

The lower value of sterling makes British goods cheaper here. Also a lot of manufactured goods from other parts of the world are routed here via the UK.

The misleading food labeling has a part to play there.

A lot of produce is labeled “produced in Ireland”….. But its NI, rather than RoI.

We should be able to purchase Irish knowing it benefits Irish producers rather than George Osbourne.
