Nurse charged with murdering patients by poisoning them in Manchester hospital

The male nurse has been charged with the murder of three patients.

A MALE NURSE has been charged with the murder of three patients who were poisoned with contaminated medical products at a British hospital.

Eight patients died following the poisoning at Stepping Hill hospital in Stockport, near Manchester in northwest England, in June and July 2011.

Victorino Chua, a 48-year-old father of two children, has been charged with murdering three of them; Tracey Arden, 44, Arnold Lancaster, 71, and Derek Weaver, 83.

He has also been charged with one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, 22 counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and eight offences of attempting to administer poison.

Assistant Chief Constable Steve Heywood of Greater Manchester Police said,

Our thoughts continue to be with those people who were deliberately poisoned and their families.

“From day one we made a commitment to those people, as well as the wider community, to thoroughly and robustly investigate what occurred.

In close to three years we have conducted many painstaking inquiries and engaged with numerous medical experts. We are now at a point where we have charged Victorino Chua with a number of very serious offences.”

This couldn’t possibly be true. From the comments I read on here, nurses generally walk on water and can do no wrong

I apologise about the courting jibe, by your last comment i’d say you’re barely in your teens, ” super hero of the comments section ” , that’s the best I’ve heard in a long time and if you yourself rely on green thumbs to make you peachy then you have more issues to deal with then the big bad nurse.

    You couldn’t be further wrong.

I care nothing for the thumbs here. They merely reflect the herd mentality of many readers. There are some commenters that make sense and present their opinions with validity and intelligence and others that attempt to attack anything they disagree with using sarcasm and patronising, overused one liners.

    The latter make me yawn.

So your initial comment to which I replied did not incorporate a degree of sarcasm, did it ?
You then revealed in a further post that In the past you received a similar response when questioning the efficacy of some nurses, so what were you only doing with the initial response only trolling, talking of double standards, was that a valid or intelligent post, of course not, you obviously think you are very precious. The one thing I hate are hypocrites.

The initial comment was pure sarcasm. I thought that much was blindingly obvious. I don’t think I’m any more precious than anybody else.

You tried and failed to make yourself a hilarious popular hit with your sad and pathetic big bad nurse comment.

Here’s a tip for you, a difference of opinion does not make one a troll. Sadly the word troll is ever increasingly pulled out by the unoriginal brigade any time they’re trying to discredit another comment. Sort of like raising your voice in an argument. The moment you do it, you’ve lost.

The more I read your posts the more I am of the opinion you are an ignorant individual, a lot of people who are ignorant are actually intelligent people but not In your case, if you peruse your previous posts and mine then surely you will realise what a self contradictory individual you are, you’re obviously in denial. You seem to have a fixation with winning and losing, very child like, you definitely have issues you need dealing with, my god that bad, bad nurse left a lasting impression on you precious. Re: my comment about you trolling, read my post very very sloooowly, maybe then you might comprehend what I said although i’d say a dimwit like you won’t, precious.

That doesn’t seem to matter, many cases outside this jurisdiction are not open for discussion either, except on the Facebook page, oddly.

    Spot on JP.
Pravda, Irish, cut and paste, lazy “journalism” as per usual.
What do we really expect though, in the land where pedophiles and perverts were allowed to carry on for decades, unchecked by our “media” and courts?

I recall a case like this, where the nurse/doctor was inveigling the patients out of their estates before killing them off. A dual motivation of evil and greed, if you will.

I was born in this hospital and would say I was from Manchester. Other people would say Cheshire. Most people from Stockport are not too sure themselves (strange, I know) but being only 10 miles from the city, its not wrong to say its close to Manchester. I don’t think too many people lose sleep over it though.. (others may disagree I’m sure!)
Anyway, more importantly, this is a very sad and scary story. Its been going on for a long time and hopefully they have caught the right person this time.
