TWO MALE PARAGLIDERS have been airlifted to Tallaght Hospital this evening after they collided mid-air in Wicklow.
Emergency Services attended the scene this afternoon at Kippure mountain, near the Glencree Heritage Centre.
The coastguard helicopter was dispatched to the scene after they received a call at 4.11pm local time.
One of the paragliders is believed to be uninjured and able to walk, while the second man, a 33-year-old male, is believed to have injured his arm and shoulder.
The second man was reported to be drowsy at the scene, where medical services attempted to keep him warm and keep his neck straight.
One of the men was airlifted to hospital.
The Dublin and Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team confirmed to TheJournal.ie that the two men had now been removed from the hill by Rescue 117.

You’d want to be careful walking up the mountain in this weather but if you’re not and slip sure you can always sue.

@Peter Cavey: by not paying water charges I have more money to keep background hearing on and thereby to avoid frozen pipes. I don’t need to run the taps.
A lot of people in these counties are on rural group water schemes and this pay for their water. Thus running taps would be an incredible foolish thing to do.

Your right too. Scary fact: 100% of organisms that consume water will die.
But if you do skid on the black ice, and slide into a wall and damage your bumper, and perhaps even scratch your knee off the underside of the dash, – don’t worry, . You can sue the NRA for not salting the road, Sue the wall owner for the damage to your car, and Sue the car manufacturer for the scratch on your knee.
The judges in this banana republic are bound to pay out on one of them …
