A COMMEMORATIVE SILVER coin with the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin on it has been unveiled to mark the incorporation of Crimea into Russia.

A map of the Crimean Peninsula is depicted on the reverse side.

The BBC reports that the coin weighs one kilograme and is a limited edition of 500 silver coins which have been called ‘The Gatherer of Russian Lands’.

They state that some of the coins may be sold, but the won’t be used as currency.

The factory that produces the coins said it is planning to present some of them to the Russian leadership.

The Voice of Russia says no price has been set for the palm-sized coins.

It’s tragic that there will be holiday related tragedies over the weekend. Let it not be you, take care of yourself and yours and enjoy yourself.

If you’ve never swum further than the length of your bathtub then don’t try to swim half a mile out to sea and then need to be rescued!

The fun Police are on patrol again. What have we become? Let’s use common sense and enjoy simple pleasures like swimming without the doom and gloom please. Some positivity and progressive thinking is needed right now, not this nonsense.
As someone once said “We have nothing to fear, but fear itself”.
