IRELAND’S LARGEST ANIMATION company has bagged three daytime Emmys and scored another five nominations for their take on the classic Peter Rabbit story.
Brown Bag Films celebrated the total of eight nominations by pointing out that was just one fewer than the Ellen Show. And when they won, it looked like this:
Brown Bag Films has become a major force in world animation, and its headquarters is still in Smithfield, Dublin. It gained notice with its Oscar nomination for Give Up Yer Aul Sins, and now produces globally syndicated shows such as popular children’s cartoons, Doc McStuffins and Henry Hugglemonster.
The wins today were for Production Design, Set Designer and Storyboard. Peter Rabbit was also nominated for Outstanding Special Class Animated Programme, Outstanding Performer in an Animated Programme, Outstanding Writing in a Preschool Animated Programme, Outstanding Original Song (two nominations here – one for the song, Spring Has Sprung, and one for the main theme song).
