Staff at city centre hotel threatened with blade by lone raider

A man’s been arrested over the raid, which happened on Parnell Square.

A 36-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Dublin city centre yesterday in which staff were threatened with a blade.

It happened at a hotel on Parnell Square in the north inner city at around 1.15pm.

A lone raider entered the hotel and threatened staff, before making off with a sum of cash.

He was arrested and detained a short time later, gardaí say. An amount of cash was also recovered.

The man’s been taken for questioning to Mountjoy Garda Station.

If that were the case there wouldn’t be robberies with blades Or robberies at all.

Hope the journal, follow this up when some idiot judge lets him off or indeed when he’s released from the gards to commit more crimes before his trial.

I’m making the assumption that somebody threatened staff and robbed money. Am I assuming too much there?

Threatened with a blade? He must have been extremely desperate, if he couldn’t afford to attach it to a handle and convert it into a knife. Street slang sensationalist tabloid headline, if ever I heard one.
