Bill Clinton: Hillary was right on Benghazi and is NOT brain damaged

The ‘Big Dog’ has come to the defence of his wife.

FORMER US PRESIDENT Bill Clinton has said his wife Hillary took six months to recover from a 2012 concussion, adding she is now “stronger than I am” as he dismissed Republican strategist Karl Rove’s comments about her health.

“I got to give him credit, you know, that embodies that old saying that ‘consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds,’” Bill Clinton said at a Washington conference.

“First they said she faked her concussion. And now they say she’s auditioning for a part on ‘The Walking Dead.’”

The former secretary of state fell ill with a stomach bug in December 2012 after returning from a trip to Europe, leaving her severely dehydrated. While at home, she fainted and fell, suffering a concussion. The illness forced her to reschedule her testimony to Congress about the deadly attack months earlier in Benghazi, Libya.

The New York Post reported this week that Rove suggested at a private conference near Los Angeles last week that Clinton suffered brain damage. Rove disputed that he was referring to any brain damage.

“I didn’t say she had brain damage. I said she had a serious health episode,” he said on Fox News.

Rove told Fox News, for which he is a commentator, that Clinton had a “serious health episode” that would be a legitimate issue for her in a potential bid for the Democratic presidential nomination “whether she likes it or not.”

Clinton allies and the White House pushed back on Rove’s comments, and Bill Clinton said he was “sort of dumbfounded” by the remarks.

“Look, she works out every week, she is strong, she’s doing great. As far as I can tell, she’s in better shape than I am,” the former president said.

The former president also defended his wife’s response to the Sept. 11, 2012 Benghazi attack that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

His comments came as the House pushes ahead with a special select committee to investigate the attacks, U.S. security at the diplomatic mission, the military’s response and the Obama administration’s explanation of what happened.

Hillary Clinton is certain to be asked to testify by the GOP-led panel.

“In my opinion, Hillary did what she should have done, she impaneled a very high-level review committee,” Bill Clinton said.

BBC News direct quote: ‘The New York Post reported on Tuesday that Mr Rove, the strategist behind George W Bush’s election to the White House, had told an audience in Los Angeles last week, “Thirty days in the hospital? And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.” ‘
If that’s not implying brain damage I don’t know what is. He exaggerated the length of her hospital stay as well. Low, very low from Rove.

Mrs Clinton held ultimate responsibility for security at all department of state facilities, the buck stops with her for the inadequate security measures at the Benghazi consulate. I don’t accept the accusation that the White House left those men to die(there were no US forces outside Libya that could have reached them in time) however if you lie about what actually happened you leave yourself open to such accusations.

Clinton and many others in the administration blamed a YouTube video for provoking the attack when they knew that was not true. It was much easier to do so during an election when Obama was busy telling people that Al Qaeda was dead.

US embassy staff get killed all the time it’s part of the job unfortunately

Reagan let hundreds of Americans get killed in attacks in Lebanon, was given security recommendations by a bi-partisan congressional committee to have implemented, didn’t have them implemented. More attacks happened more Americans died, they recommendations still weren’t implemented and even more attacks happened and more Americans died. Nobody called for his impeachment or for his sectary of state to resign.

    But Reagan was white though.

    Re Marcello

Read the above article I linked.

Many top US military commanders would strongly disagree with you.

But hey, what do they know they only worked in the US armed forces for a few decades. I how down to your ‘expert’ analysis.

While I wouldn’t wish ill on any human being age certainly has no such qualms when she satanically laughed on hearing the news of the death of Gaddafi in Libya.

Here is a good article on her lies and cover up re the consular attack in Benghazi. The Citizens Committee on Benghazi exposed her lies. I’m personally not surprised, as this is what politicians do, it’s just for anyone who thought Hillary Clinton was something other than what she is. If she has I’ll health issues, I wish her a speedy recovery.

It is American foreign policy that should be questioned particularly in relation to interference in the stability of other nations rather than the health issues of one individual. What about the health issues of all the refugees who have had to flee their homes. It is a hard fact to face but many people were better off under the dictators than they have been since their “liberation”. Liberated from a central power only to fall into the so called protection of militias. I don’t think any of that is going to change whoever becomes the next president of the USA.

Yeah Sean. Read about that one this mornings Guardian. These people certainly do look after each other. “Expressed in dollars and cents, pounds shillings and pence” as Rog Waters put it. Not much different here, either. I just wonder where I can get a ticket for this gravy train. Not for the likes of me though I think.

The younger Mr Biden isn’t the only American with political ties to have recently joined Burisma’s board. Devon Archer, a former senior advisor to current Secretary of State John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign and a college roommate of Mr Kerry’s stepson HJ Heinz, signed on in April.

Brain damage didn’t get in The way of George W Bush. And his VP, Dick Cheny, had very serious health problems throughout. In face, he still doesn’t have a heart if I’m not mistaken.

Always interesting to see names like Rove popping up, having heard nothing of them for years. One would think the shame of their involvement in the biggest msn made disaster of the 21st century would be enough for them to keep their heads down. Never say I was wrong. Never say sorry for all the civilian and military deaths caused. Astonishing. That’s politics I guess.
