If you're not sick of opinion polls already ... here's the 'poll of polls'

Two days out from polling day, here’s how the electoral landscape’s looking….

RTÉ HAS PUBLISHED its ‘poll of polls’, which is based on a number of the surveys run by other media outlets and polling companies in the course of the local and European election campaign.

As you might expect, it contains little good news for the two coalition parties.

Compared to the 2011 General Election, Fine Gael could lose a third of its support on Friday, while Labour could say goodbye to two-thirds of their support, RTÉ says.

The state of the parties (based on a sample of over 5,000)

FG – 24 per cent (down 12 points on the general election)

Labour – 7 per cent (down 12)

FF – 22 per cent (up five)

SF – 22 per cent (up 12)

Independents & Others – 26 per cent (up 8)

European & local voting intentions (based on a 9,000 sample)

FG – 26 per cent (down 3 since 2009)

Labour – 7 per cent (down 7)

FF – 23 per cent (down one)

SF – 17 per cent (up 6)

Independents & Others – 27 per cent (up five)

If its what needed to get a country to take its affairs seriously then so be it.

I’d Like the EU to consider same regarding Uganda after imposing horrific (US missionary inspired) homophobic laws last year.
