DINGLE HAS CLAIMED the title of Ireland’s top foodie town at the Irish Restaurant Awards in Dublin last night.
The Kerry town scooped the inaugural award, beating off competition from Cork and Galway cities, Howth, Kinsale, Kilkenny city, Lisdoonvarna, Loop Head, Sligo and Westport & Clew Bay.

The coveted best restaurant in Ireland award was snapped up by Campagne Restaurant in Kilkenny.

It’s the second major success for the Kilkenny eatery in less than a year, after it landed its first Michelin star alongside the Lady Helen, also in Kilkenny, last September.
Award-winning celebrity chef Neven Maguire took home the chef of the year gong for his work at MacNean house in Cavan.
Etto wine bar on Merrion Row in Dublin was awarded best casual dining, with Dax Restaurant claiming the title for best restaurant in the capital.
The best gastro pub in Ireland was also in Dublin, with The Chophouse landing the award.
