I take it you don’t have any children Mark. It must be nice air on your lofty perch looking down on others problems. I hope such a worry will never visit you.

A picture cant be released because she’s a juvenile. A court order is needed before they allow publication of a picture.

I doubt 80% of 17 year old girls routinely carry an umbrella. I always find it funny why there is a crime and on the radio it says Garda are looking for someone 5’8 to 5’11 wearing a grey hoodie like that information is of any use to anyone.

Doubtful. If this child is a missing child in care then care staff have no idea where she is, her family do not know and nobody has had any contact. Do not throw out comments when you do not have a clue.

There is a child missing and a family distressed.

Some teenagers in care are allowed free time and told to come home at a certain time. If they are late by a certain period their carers are obliged by law to report them to the Gardaí. My partner works in a boys care home, so this is how I know this. It is a frequent occurrence with children in care, but this does not take away from the fact that it is a very worrying time for all those involved, when any child goes missing. I’m not saying this girl is in care. Anyway I hope she returns safe asap.
