Family Handout

Heartbreaking statement from devastated family who lost 3 children and grandad in MH17

“No hate in the world is as strong as the love we have for our children, for Mo, for Evie, for Otis.”

THE PARENTS OF three children who died when their flight was shot down over Ukraine last week have issued a message to soldiers, politicians, the media and their family and friends.

The heartbreaking statement highlights their pain following the loss of 12-year-old Mo, 10-year-old Evie and eight-year-old Otis.

The children’s grandfather Nick also died in the crash.

The four of them were returning to their home in Australia following a holiday in Amsterdam.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Australia released the statement on their behalf yesterday.

A message to the soldiers in the Ukraine, the politicians, the media, our friends and family.

Our pain is intense and relentless. We live in a hell beyond hell.

Our babies are not here with us – we need to live with this act of horror, every day and every moment for the rest of our lives.

No one deserves what we are going through.

Not even the people who shot our whole family out of the sky.

No hate in the world is as strong as the love we have for our children, for Mo, for Evie, for Otis.

No hate in the world is as strong as the love we have for Grandad Nick.

No hate in the world is as strong as the love we have for each other.

This is a revelation that gives us some comfort.

We would ask everyone to remember this when you are making any decisions that affect us and the other victims of this horror.

So far, every moment since we arrived home, we’ve been surrounded by family and friends. We desperately pray that this continues, because this expression of love is what is keeping us alive.

We want to continue to know about your lives, all the good and all the bad. We no longer have lives that we want to live by ourselves. So we’d like to take the chance to thank everyone, all our incredible friends, family and communities, and to tell you all that we love you very much.

Very sorry to see jim go. I first met him when my club was building a canoe boat house across the lake from weston airport. The boat house has been used by special needs boys and girls to store their canoes. Jim gave me a cheque for 20.000 euro towards the project. The special needs kids are still canoeing there every Saturday. Thanks to big jim

Apparently Thatcher was disgusted that the salvage from the Falklands war was sold to an Irishman. I’d say she was inconsolable when she heard how much he made from it!!

To the risk taker go the spoils.
Jim flew down to the Antipodes and put up the cash , fair play to a true Businessman.
Take a look at what he created at The Citywest Hotel and golf course, it was men like Jim who lifted the profile of the whole Country , he will be sadly missed. R.I.P

Jim was an inspiration to many people.
He went out and did it!
He didn’t moan like most losers do.
A great employer, tough business man and a great success story.
I dealt with him for many years and he always paid his bills.
He was very generous to people in need and helped out lots of family’s
    In need.
We could do with a few Jim mansfield’s

Jim probably fell the furthest of all developers in terms of assets and wealth during the great recession.
Surprised he lasted so long after citywest and weston were taken off his hands.
Loosing a lot of wealth takes a huge toll on your mental health.

The journal is not a bloody spelling contest sometimes reading comments here it feels like it. I have been a victim of this bullying made complaints to the journal I feel they have their eyes closed to this problem usually its the guys who have their identity hidden and very brave the journal should block their accounts until their full names appear with their post I take the advice given on a post here smile and ignore the post.

I will never forget the day I saw a man on his knees in the lobby of City West Hotel, begging Jim not to shoot him after sealing the JCB. Wonderful sight. Also nice of Jim to have a airport for his son’s import business, it wasn’t Pepsi either! Modern day Robin Hood.
