Man or woman, when you make an eejit of yourself in politics, you get criticism. Some politicians, like Shatter, O’Reilly and Hogan in the last government are magnets for it. I’m not aware of any of those three being women. That standpoint also does a great disservice to the women who’ve been trailblazers in Irish politics.
