DUTCH FORENSIC EXPERTS have identified the remains of a further 21 victims of the Malaysia Airlines MH17 disaster, bringing the number identified to 23.
The plane exploded over Ukraine on 17 July, killing all 298 on board.
The latest victim identifications include the remains of 16 Dutch citizens, including a dual British national, two Malaysians, one German, one Canadian and one from the UK, according to the Dutch justice ministry.
The next of kin have been informed.
The Dutch justice ministry also said that although a team of over 200 experts are working in the identification process, it could take months to identify all of the recovered remains.
Search suspended
Forensic experts and investigators have begun arriving back in the Netherlands after their work at the crash site was called off over safety concerns.
On Wednesday, the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that the search for any more body parts at the site is being suspended. ”The fact that we are now leaving the crash site doesn’t mean we have ceased investigating the cause of the disaster,” he said, adding that Dutch experts will return to the site when conditions permit it.
Rutte said that the main areas where remains are expected to be found have been searched, resulting in the recovery of victims’ remains as well as personal belongings. A large amount of recovered luggage is to be transported back to the Netherlands tomorrow.
The Dutch Prime Minister also noted the role played by locals in the recovery of remains from the crash site:
We recently learned from a Ukrainian medical officer, who coordinated recovery efforts in the first few days after the crash, that an intensive search was carried out during that time, with the help of 800 volunteers. Many bodies were recovered then, all of which are now back in NL. The fact that our teams found few remains over the past few days would seem to confirm that more work was done in the immediate wake of the disaster than we previously thought.

Whoever shot the plane down, the fact remains that had Putin not started this undeclared war by arming terrorists, the passengers would still be alive.

What a fantastic job was done by the locals, or ‘separatists’ as Western media labels them, to find the remains of all the souls lost.
It is an absolute outrage that the Ukrainian Government continued to battle Ukrainians in the immediate vicinity of the crash site despite pledging to adhere to a cessation of hostilities which they broke their word on.
It will be interesting to see the final report on the crash. Eyewitnesses at the scene said they saw a fighter plane below and around the airplane before the crash and many aviation expert are trying to figure out how the cockpit was riddled with large caliber rounds from a machine gun take of weapon. Very interesting indeed.

The eyewitnesses can be heard on a BBC news report talking about the fighter plane. The video clip was removed by the BBC but is available online on other sites to view.

@ Mick Jordan.. No Mick, they did not, the audio recordings were a compalation of edits taken over many days, we know that Kiev released the recordings so its safe to assume they did the editing.

He may not be mainstream, he may have a bias but, there is more truth in his output than you will find in the lame stream media, as for Global Research, the fact that newspaper sales have slumped shows that people are not happy with the news coverage they get, or don’t get from MSM. GR and others like it have a major share of the news market and they do a better job than the lame stream media. That’s why governments are so interested in internet censorship, alternative media is not fully controlled by governments. I can see you only want main stream media so you can be in with the sheeple, always right because there is no one to question your views and opinions, it will be a sad day for the world when there is only government controlled media.

Regarding the Nuland (Nudleman) recording, the U.S.State Department and Jan Pesky have verified that it is authentic. If you have chosen not to be aware of this, its your problem, the truth will not magically change to suit your fairy tale.

Ignorance is lack of knowledge, if you want to censor yourself, you will never be knowledgeable, you make that choice yourself. You are only insulting your own lack of intelligence by claiming you alone are in a position to decree what is suitable for others to read, you are not graced with enough intellect to make such decisions.

@ Avina Laaf.. You are welcome to read and watch what you like but , your opinion on what media is good or bad is also your own opinion. RT is a much more honest and professional outlet than anything in the west, that is for a major outlet.
It may be your total immersion in lame stream media that gives you a bias against the truth in media.
I can honestly say, from my own experience, that most Russian media is more free than that in the west, why else would western governments be trying to convince their people not to watch it.

@ Horgay H .. The Ukie coup puppets feel they have to cover their tracks, I bet they have a bounty on the heads of the witnesses.
The reason why the search was called off over safety concerns. is because Kiev ended the ceasefire at the crash site. They did everything possible not to help the investigation. I would think that if Kiev wanted to prove their innocents, they would have completely cooperated with the investigation. Which they didn’t. After EU puppets imposed sanctions on Russia the US lost all interest in MH17. Where is the ATC recordings and what is taking so long for US/Kiev to release this info?
Things would be much more peaceful in East Ukraine if the Russian invaders would go home, taking their weapons with them.
Can you point to any other air crash investigation where ATC recordings have been released into the public domain before the investigators have completed their work?

@ Avina Laaf.. Usualy it does not matter because no one is trying to cover up their crime, this is different, America and Kiev can not afford the truth to be told, they need time to concoct their cover up.

I take the general point you are making Avina about critical evidence not being made public before an investigation reaches an absolute conclusion (sometimes years), but ATC recordings are usually released around the time of the first preliminary report. That has already happened with MH370, and many other crashes. We have the full exchange in audio and transcript from the moment the flight took off to ending communication. It’s the voice cockpit recordings that are sometimes held back in full or part due to potential legal cases or before the final investigation conclusion.
That said, in this case, and because ATC tapes were seized by the Ukrainian authorities, we may not see that happen. Next week *we may* hear some of the cockpit communication.
This is a huge political case and the results of the preliminary report may be very circumspect in their initial findings. The cockpit and data recordings will actually reveal a great deal – and my hope is – it will put an end to whether MH17 was brought down by a BUK land to air missile (whoever fired it), or by an SU25 attack fighter.
I’m struggling with the SU25 senario, because of its flight ceiling limitations, and whether a fighter jet can actually use a heat-seaking missile at 25,000 feet and target a passenger jet 8,000 feet above it. All aircraft can push their safety ceiling but 8,000 feet is really pushing it. That said, I’m no military expert, and I don’t know if a heat-seaking missile is that accurate.

I guess the point I’m making is that protocol dictates that its the investigators and nobody else that decide if and when recordings will be released into the public domain, and just as in any other investigation (criminal or otherwise) joe public has absolutely no god-given right of access to whatever evidence/information he/she wants.
Sweet music, Avina. I thrashed out the same argument on here yesterday regarding evidence. In the days of social media and exchange of information immediately, I think we sometimes forget we don’t have a god-given right to every piece of evidence before it is tested whether we are dealing with a local criminal case or an international situation.
@ Avina Laaf.. You play with words Avina, “sometimes” is very different to “most times”. I have said to you before that in this case, a Black Op, you can not expect the truth, at least not for years, all you will get is evasion and the withholding of evidence, the biggest evasion is the story that it was solely a Buk missile that took it down, was a Buk involved at all.
If there was no Buk involved then we already know who is responsible and you will never get the truth, the truth is already known but the guilty have to hide it, the truth would blow their cover up.
