Video Would you eat meat from the offspring of clones?

Good sense or Frankenfood? The issue is coming up for debate again in Europe.

CLONING IS A divisive issue – particularly when the question of food production is raised. And, as one of the first pieces of legislation that the newly-elected European Parliament will address, the issue isn’t going away…

So, would you eat meat from the offspring of clones? Or is it ‘Franken-meat’ which should be avoided completely?

Mutant eh? Have a quick Google of that word if you will. Also identical twins (we should call them ‘natural clones’) take issue with you.

Here’s a Fun Fact of the Day™: bananas are clones.

In fact, any seedless fruit is a clone.

There’s absolutely nothing conceivably wrong with eating clones or their offspring.

Foods that are mutants(also inbred, genetically engineered); carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, mustard seed, all farmed animals, peas, in fact most foods in our diet. Rice doesn’t escape either.
While we’re at it, all breeds of dogs, and if you take the definition of mutant to its literal meaning, every organism on the planet. Ever. Even the damn fluffy rabbits!!!

Sure, why not? If it is a living breathing animal with the same characteristics of the original then I say go for it. We are going to have to accept it because the population will only continue to grow, and reduction in global poverty levels will mean an even greater demand for meat. I would probably draw the line at eating animals that are grown in lab conditions i.e. no eyes, ears, minimal brain activity, literally just meat that is grown for the purpose of consumption.

Well if they did manage to literally ‘grow’ meat in labs – vegetarians would be able to eat it.

Why do you think, they can’t use human/dog/cat waste as fertiliser and only farm animals. Because we eat meat, not only are you paying dearly for it and it’s full of chemicals also! But it can’t be recycled, must be treated and that’s the price you pay for eating meat!

Actually the above three varities of shite you mentioned can be used for fertilizer and has been for centuries in China.
It has to be heated to kill off the pathogens.Easily done in a proper dung pile.So sorry it was a shite arguement.
