MORE THAN 10 MILLION Playstation 4 consoles have been sold worldwide, according to Sony.
Announcing the new figure at Gamescom 2014, this figure is almost double the amount it sold back in February, where it sold 5.3 million. The company had originally sold 4.2 million consoles in 2013.
The company also announced that Share Play, a feature which allows any PSN friend jump into your games and play them as long as they’re a Playstation Plus subscriber, will arrive during the autumn. The company likened it to a “virtual couch” where your friend can help out remotely without owning the game.
Microsoft also held its own press conference for Xbox One as well, but instead of announcing sales data, it revealed a number of titles including the new Tomb Raider game Rise of the Tomb Raider and Below, both exclusive to the console.
It also revealed a number of new console bundles for later this year. One is a white Xbox One console bundled with Sunset Overdrive and will be available on 28 October for $399.
The second bundle features 1TB of storage and is part of a special Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare edition. It will arrive on 3 November and will cost $499. Neither console bundle will feature Kinect.

Much to my regret, I was an early adopter of the ps3. It was fat, over priced and the games were rubbish. Took years for developers to full utilise the cell architecture. I know things are now different with the much friendlier x86, but it still feels like history repeating itself with the ps4. Albeit price is more favourable this time round. But it will still be a year before I part with my cash though.
Bulls***, motorstorm and resistance off the top of my head were great games..

I bought when it came out and there’s not much out that I want apart from FIFA.
But there are some realy good games being released over the next few months.

People need to seriously consider boycotting Sony over its involvement in Israeli war machine ..
