3. GREAT news for people who love flying Ryanair (!). The airline has just announced a spate of new routes across Europe.

4. In more sad news today, BBC broadcaster Gerry Anderson has died, aged 69.

    I met a rose of tralee winner once and I asked her what she won, she laughed and said nothing you can keep. And any cash they give you has to be spent on traveling where they tell you to go. I got the feeling winning the rose of tralee is not quite as glamorous as they make it out to be
