On Monday we will take her to the first day of a new part of her life,
this part, where she is ours all the time, is nearly over. Bittersweet.

You think it’s bad now!!! I’ve just watched my little sister (14year age gap) go to her debs tonight!
It’s seems like only a click of a finger since I was playing football with her as a two year old!
She’s blossomed into a lovely young lady and looked absolutely stunning in her dress.
She off into adulthood and I can still see the two year old image of her as I look at her.
Time goes so fast, all you can do is be there for them, and enjoy them as they grow through their experiences!

Why? Wave him/her off, let them get on with it. My 6 yr old has spent the last 2 months away from us, with her granny in Poland. She’ll be back Friday, off to school Monday. Strong independent lady.

Took a photo this morning of my eldests last first day of school. Dont know where the years have gone but 6th year and the leaving cert make her almost grown. Scary thing is she has more teenage years behind her than ahead but i still she her very first day walking in those doors, brand new uniform, all smiles and hair in pigtails. Years go to fast

Ah, would you stop. At that point they are young adults ffs.

Back in my day, we went to school with no shoes, regardless of weather. We had one shoe between 7 of us. We used to take turns as to who had the laces ffs.

    Kids these days are soft.

I think the saddest day is the Graduation Mass which they have shortly before Leaving Cert – I was a snivelling mess for each one but particularly my youngest. Thing is – at that stage it’s not cool to even know your parents so they spent the evening in a state of total embarrassment that we were even there:). They get over that tho – when they need all that boozing money in college. Ah the memories!

Video was lovely, but the comments have me in floods! I cried like a baby dropping my 2 year old into her first proper day of play school, and she only goes for 3 hours, 3 days a week. I will be a mess by the time big school comes!
