Poll: Should the Irish UN peacekeepers be pulled out of Golan Heights?

The Defence Minister has called for a UN review of the mission.

THE DEFENCE MINISTER Simon Coveney said that what’s been happening in the Golan Heights region does not represent “an acceptable level of risk”.

He has reiterated his call for a UN review of the mission and said he won’t be withdrawing any troops until after it takes place.

Concerns have been raised about the safety of the Irish troops after 43 peacekeepers were captured in Golan Heights.

Irish soldiers were involved in a daring mission to rescue their UNDOF colleagues from the Philippines at the weekend.

In today’s poll we want to know what you think about the situation.

Its a very good road through Boa Island, so driver must have gone to sleep, or car failure, can happen to any of us. Fair play to the fast action of the police. I hope all survive well.
