A DUBLIN MAN won €350,000 on the Lotto thanks to a mistake he made when buying his ticket.
Speaking today as he collected his cheque at the Natonal Lottery offices, he said: “I started buying my Lotto tickets online a few months ago as I wanted to make sure I was in the draws while away on holidays. This time I made a mistake when I was typing in my usual numbers, and got one of the numbers wrong.”
But if I hadn’t made that mistake, I wouldn’t be here – it’s just gas!
The lucky winner bought his ticket on the National Lottery’s Play Online service and won the top prize in the Lotto Plus 1 draw, which he said he only recently started playing.
He said he needs to get used to his surprising news now before deciding how he will spend his winnings.
There was a second winning ticketholder of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize on Saturday with the winning ticket sold in Dalkey Post Office in Dublin.

It’s desperately needed humanitarian aid not charity, the people are starving over there. Even when we’re struggling ourselves we can still help those who need it the most, that says a lot about us.

Giving €2 million to Yemen is the least we can do Our people at home are not without support……We have one of the most generous social welfare systems in Europe…Much more generous than England for instance….I do think government could try to help Christians more in the middle east……. They are beingf attached on regular basis now by Muslim brotherhood in Egypt for instance …..The €750 million we give in foreign aid each year should be increased

Nothing is black and white in this situtation. It does make me proud that Ireland are trying to help people living in conditions that I cannot even begin to describe. while our UK neighbours, the US etc are supporting this war. Of course the politics of this are immensely complex but the fundamentals remain the same. Supplying weapons = bad. Donation = good!
