I’ve seen people wearing the clothing of the Defence Forces in public. Normally they are busy acting as armed security for the nation’s usurers.

Yes Audrey we know but if you think a kid dressed up like that is going to bring change your niave. He’s also part of our resources in that he is the future of the country. So dont you waste that most valuable of all our resources & educate him & help him stay clear of any militant influences. He lives in a democracy he can bring change if he’s clever enough.

How right is it to waste such a resource? Water is not free. We all currently pay for it through taxation. Some people waste vast amounts every day and put it literally down the drain. 2 important points. First, paying for water should in theory save on the amount of water we as a nation use. Second, the Government will ease off on other taxation measures to off-set the new charges. Taxation on working/wages is not right so why not widen the tax take this way?

Pauline just judging his clothes would make me unreliable. There is a lot more about this chap in that picture. His clothes only draw attention to it. I commend him for protesting. He at least understands the values of democracy but its everything else that I see that is concerning. I would love to hear his views on this & other matters we need to concern ourselves with but his approach seems a tad misguided. I believe people like him can make a difference but only in the context of proper debate, discoarse & if necessary peaceful & engaging protest.

@Steve as you said we are already paying for it through taxation, then why should we pay for it a second time?
Yes I do agree that a lot of water is wasted and we need as a country to address that wastage but through education not charges.
And yes paying for water in theory will save on the amount wasted but again if we educate ourselves and our kids can we not reach the same goal?
Your second point is that the government will ease up on other taxation measures, do you really believe that?

The reason they are installing water meters is not just for charging people, it is also so they can determine where he water is going missing. The reason they currently don’t know where the water is going is because there has been such disgraceful under investment in the water infrastructure that we are left with dirty rotting pipelines that are falling apart. This is because the pig ignorant citizen of Ireland has spent the last 40 years suckling from the teat of the state instead of providing for it.

Now look at the attention focused on him though I generally agree with the law that says his style of dress is illegal. For too much of our history the use of Military style clothing has symbolised murder and mayhem and had nothing to do with the our Defence forces. People wearing such clothing should be arrested and at least charged with a breach of the peace!

The problem is Pauline, that particular combat trousers is property of the Defence Forces. It’s not just some generic camouflage pattern that you can pick up on the high street. Also, the badge on his chest is Defence Forces property along with what I’m assuming is a United Nations badge on his left arm.
I’m not saying he should be arrested, however I’d imagine the Defence Forces wouldn’t mind asking him how he got his hands on these items.
He wouldn’t head out protesting in a Garda uniform.

    It’s like this.
Water charges are part of a wider attempt to squeeze every penny that the banks can out of mankind. Constant need to work for most people with brains just to make ends meet means no time to realise the awful state everything is in. This is why banks bankrupt countries, debt equals control of the population.

Now people like the sc umbag in chief Enda Kenny are completely owned by industry and bankers, Coveney is owned by Monsanto, Shatter was run by Israeli interests, that fat finance runt is run by the ECB ( which is a private for profit institution).

Water should be the final straw for a nation that is flouridated into apathy – a nation of rebels apparently, the nation hardest hit by ECB-fed banks after their flooding the market with cheap credit, and not a riot in sight.

Now is the time folks, to take your balls out of the lockers of treasonous, corporate owned sc um in powe that fluoridate you and sell their souls to the devil and their countrymen along with it ( same as the crowd before this crowd) and do not pay. THis is not about rich or poor, stop allowing yourself to be divided on classic paddy lines. Unite, wealthy or not, this is about your right to free water! YOUR WATER! Do not let them make profit from our water, to service interest on debt no matter what their attempted justification.

    They are liars. FIght evil.
