A 19-YEAR-OLD MAN is due in court this morning after gardaí discovered an “elaborate” cannabis growhouse in Longford.

Cannabis plants worth an estimated €112,000 were seized at the house in Prospect Woods at around 10pm last night after gardaí raided the property. Some of the drugs were found in a bathroom in the house.

The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing in Longford.

The 19-year-old was arrested at the scene and is due to appear before Athlone District Court this morning charged in connection with the seizure.
