High Court refuses Cosgrave access to documents

Former TD Liam Cosgrave is charged with receiving corrupt payments.

FORMER FINE GAEL TD Liam Cosgrave has been refused access to certain documents related to his upcoming trial.

RTE reports that High Court judge Mr Justice Hedigan refused an application by Cosgrave for access to certain papers.

Cosgrave is on trial charged with receiving corrupt payments in 1992 and 1997.

The payments relate to rezoning of land at Carrickmines, Co Dublin.

The trial is due to take place in October.
