Can you guess where Ireland's most popular property is?

Here are three market stats you should look at if you’re thinking of stepping onto the property ladder.

EACH WEEK WE give you the inside scoop about what’s been happening in the property market.

We’ve been working with the reams of data from property website Daft.ie to come up with some useful facts and figures you should bear in mind if thinking of throwing your lot in with other home hunters.

This week we look at some of the property hot spots around the country.

Ireland’s most popular property

Well, believe it or not, that is Ireland’s most enquired-after residence. 53 Lansborough Court – in Finglas, Dublin City – has received 58 email enquiries in October alone. Could it be something to do with the pricetag of €85,000?

Drop in interest in Dublin

Despite the overall trend of house prices being on a steep increase – October managed to buck the trend for interest. Compared with the annual monthly average, there was a 8% drop in the number of enquiries about buying a property in Dublin.

Maybe everybody’s heading for the sticks?

Competition in Cork

If you’re looking for an easy place to get onto the property ladder in Cork – it’d be worth avoiding Turner’s Cross. The area is the most competitive in the County – with 8.86 enquiries per sales property.

Is it not “Murphy’s Law”, the Government is prepared for snow therefore we won’t be hit!
Pity they weren’t prepared for all other eventualities! Prevention is better than the cure!
God knows they don’t have a cure for the situation we’re in now! And Yes I know it’s bringing up politics again but it effects every facet of our lives.
