Opinion A game that lets you murder prostitutes? It's creepy, offensive and infuriating

Can we say with 100% certainty that such graphic depictions of sex and violence won’t influence attitudes toward women a teeny tiny bit?

I’LL START BEFORE I begin with the admission that I am not a ‘stereotypical’ women’s rights campaigner. I take selfies. And I watch The Kardashians. And I am totally influenced by the media’s ideals of beauty (I’ve gotten HD brows, waxes, facials and highlights on the regular).

In actual fact, I’m not a women’s rights campaigner at all. Don’t get me wrong, I get angry when I hear of women’s abuse worldwide and I am in total support of gender equality. But, really, I just work in marketing and do yoga and go out to bars and the cinema and occasionally tweet about something that really “grinds my gears” (usually after a glass of wine or two).

Lately though, something has been bugging me about how women are portrayed in popular media. I’ve been struggling a bit to accept Page 3 girls, sexy selfies of 14-year-olds on Twitter and “reality show star” as a career aspiration. And also feeling conflicted when, truthfully, I buy into some of it.

Virtually murdering prostitutes

But it all came to head recently. The culprit? Grand Theft Auto 5. I was never a fan of this video game when the first version came out after hearing that players could (virtually) murder prostitutes. I put up a vague protest, but eventually forgot all about it.

Fast forward to a few days ago when I watched a preview clip circulating the internet of the new Grand Theft Auto game. The video showed a sequence played in “first person view”, where you can actually invite a prostitute into your car, select the amount of money you wish to offer for her services and then watch the chosen acts performed. Not only that, once you have been sexually satisfied, you can kick her out of the car, stab her with a hatchet and run her over. You’ve gotten your jollies, but don’t think to pay this down-on-her-luck hooker (who I doubt very much is working the streets for kicks). No no, let’s just murder her.

As weird and embarrassing as it is to admit, I cried after I watched the clip. Then I was overwhelmingly outraged. And the reason is twofold.

Can we really say this won’t influence attitude toward women?

The first is because the makers of GTA, Rockstar Games, are well aware of the controversy that will inevitably rise with the inclusion of this particular feature of the game. The public outcry from concerned parents and equal rights organisations only intensifies the frenzied need to buy, buy, buy! Essentially, Rockstar Games is taking a fundamentally immoral situation, plugging it into a video game already loaded with gruesome violence and crime, then riding the wave of backlash all the way to the bank. They know it’s too much, they did it anyway and now they are lining their pockets with the results. Granted, they aren’t the first company to use sex and violence to plug a product, but where does it stop?

The second, more obvious and more personal problem I have with this is the complete and utter disrespect toward women. It sickens me. Partly because it shows such a lackadaisical attitude toward prostitution and violence, but more so because it’s just feels offensive. It’s unnecessary. It’s creepy. It sends the wrong message to impressionable boys and men. And I don’t want it to exist in my world, and a world into which I might one day bring a child into.

I have read arguments and statistics that say that we aren’t influenced by video games and that we don’t become sex crazed murderers after playing them. And while that may be true for the most part, are we not influenced by what we watch and read in a lot of other ways? Fashion, slang, dance moves and social activities are often dictated by what popular media shows us. Can we say with 100% certainty that a young boy controlling a game where he murders prostitutes won’t influence his attitude toward women a teeny tiny bit?

I don’t think we can, so why are we risking it?

You must have the self control of a monk Mick. I started playing GTA V and all I’ve done since then in real life is murder prostitutes, go on sniper rampages on rooftops and change cars about 30 times an hour.

Seriously though, this is some lazy journalism. I suspect the Author is hoping to provoke people into some sort of reaction so as to write about that too.

And I’ve played the series for years. Yes, I admit I have partaken in game features including the one you’re describing, but the prostitutes make up less than 1% of my virtual victims.

In fact they also make up less than 5% of the few female virtual victims in the game, the majority being innocent bystanders that get run over, followed by the occasional trophy wife turned economic liability to either the character who pays me for the job or in some cases to my own character.
And the total female victims make up about between 5 and 10 % of all victims during my gameplay.

Enough about me, now for a bit about you:
    1) The golden rule of commenting something, is to get stuck in and get to know the topic, get some proper knowledge on the topic you’re talking about. If you want a serious debate around a video game, that means: Don’t get into the discussion until you’ve actually played it and had a chance to get properly hands-on. The less you know about a topic, the less chance you have of getting your point across.

    2) The game is vast, and a short video clip showing someone performing a specific action in the game, does not in any way indicate that “This is what the game is all about.” On the contrary — It’s just one of many, vastly different “features” if you will, that can be done in-game, a drop in the ocean.

    3) Very few of the actual missions in the game involve violence towards women. The majority of enemy characters are male. I was hoping for some female protagonists in the game too, and am sad to see it not having happened yet

    4) Let me just quote one of your last questions there:
“Can we say with 100% certainty that a young boy controlling a game where he murders prostitutes won’t influence his attitude toward women a teeny tiny bit?”

Depends entirely on how you define “young” in this case. After all, the game does have (as others here are pointing out) an age limit of 18, which should be sufficient to distinguish between this virtual world and the real world.

Furthermore, the age limit doesn’t just mean “Do not let anyone under 18 play this game.” It actually means “Do not let anyone under 18 see this game be played.” A parent’s responsibilities are many. Among them, you’ll find making sure the kids don’t get their hands on this kind of materials until they’ve grown old enough. Yes, children are easier to influence, but people who are old enough will see the game for what it is: A video game. In a virtual world.

The conclusion: Come back to me once you’ve spent at least 4 to 5 hours actually playing the game, and _then_ we can talk.

    Sam,

    That’s an insane statement.

Kids can only get access to this if it’s bought for them by an adult (excluding some shop attendant who breaks the rules).

In (most of) the EU PEGI ratings are prominently placed on all games, which even have handy little flags to explain what kind of content is held in the game which justified the rating. This goes even further than the IFCO ratings, which just slap a number on things (not that anything is wrong with that).

Should ALL content that isn’t PG appropriate be banned from TV (because kids can set up Sky+ or download online), all movies be a remake of Toy Story in case they walk into the wrong screen at the movies?

GTA is Adult Content, designed for the entertainment of adults. If kids get a hold of it, an adult somewhere has failed. But that isn’t grounds for barring that content entirely.

Sam, studies have proven that there is no link between violence in video games and violent behaviour in children. This kind of scaremongering has been around for decades.

Eric, it’s a parent’s duty to say no in such cases, and it really is that straightforward, seeing the limit is 18 years. Don’t give in, but endure the tantrums, and the kid will eventually realise she/he will not get her/his way.

Feminists seem to have great difficulty telling the difference between fantasy and reality. Fortunately gamers can tell the difference, that’s precisely why there is a negative correlation between violent crime and the purchases of violent video games.

Yes that’s right. Video games get more and more popular and violent crime continues to diminish. But hey, lets all censor ourselves to please the tastes of a few non-gamers who find it objectionable anyway!

I’m a feminist, I believe in protecting prostitutes through legalisation and unionisation, but seeing an article like this is just crazy. No mention of the fact this game allows you to Rob banks, rob shops, start gang wars, set someone on fire, murder non-prostitutes, steal cars or steal aircraft.

Games are escapist, they allow people to live a reality that they would never do themselves. Goat simulator, does playing that game mean someone will take to the hills and live like a goat? Does playing farmville make you more likely to start a farm?

The daily attempt at social engineering. You have the nerve to condemn a videogame, and yet you admittedly lower yourself to the standards of the Kardashians and the shallow, self obsessed standards of the media. If you had bothered to do any reseach, you would have seen the studies that show that violent videogames to not lead to violence. Sort your own life out first before you condemn anyone elses

    Agree whole-heartedly.

Can I equally take offence to the Kardashians? Fickle, conceited celebrities who will never want for any material thing which, by the author’s logic, must potentially have a ‘teeny tiny influence’ on how women (comprising the vast majority of the show’s viewers) think. So by this standard then, viewers will likely come to have an inflated opinion of themselves, and so unless the other people in their lives treat them accordingly, those other people will continuously find themselves labelled the ‘bad guys’ for failing to deign to this inflated perception of self.

Sound absurd? Of course it is!

Each to their own, I say. We can police harm, but we cannot police offence.

Rockstar do love the controversy though, the more the media talk about it the more people want to try it for themselves.

    Play the game.

It’s no use saying how much you got upset looking at a preview clip, just play the game and form a more improved opinion other than “I saw a clip of something I know very little about and am now offended at this particular event”

Also, GTA 5 isn’t new, it came out ages ago. In fact it made a splash because it was the biggest selling release of recent times. A lot of people own a copy of the game. The first person view is a new feature, but other than that nothing much has changed. Were you offended enough to write an article back then? Nope.

The game is not about murdering prostitutes. It actually has a plot, a story-line that you choose to play out at your own pace. At no point in the game did I bother to murder a prostitute, because I was enjoying the narrative and didn’t particularly see the point anyway.

Please have the common decency to at least make an attempt at educating yourself on a topic before just making silly assumptions.

Jesus what an overblown load of emotional nonsense you’ve written here. The game is 18+ so there shouldn’t be any children playing it, nor should you be worrying about your children playing it unless you’re a crap parent.

“As weird and embarrassing as it is to admit, I cried after I watched the clip. Then I was overwhelmingly outraged. And the reason is twofold.”

You cried over a videogame? Did you also cry over the countless males that get murdered in the game or did your feminist senses only direct your unhinged emotions to what happened a pixelated female? Actually you know what, I’m not even going to comment any further on this piece of dross. An adult who doesn’t know the difference between real life and a game has issues already.
While we’re at it lets ban all adult rated movies for fear of people being misled.
You don’t HAVE to kill prostitutes, the game just doesn’t stop you from doing so.

As for the line “I don’t want it to exist in my world, and a world into which I might one day bring a child into.”

You can “virtually” run a marathon in GTA 5

    It. Is. A. Game!

Get over it. You picked out one element of the game to give out about.
You say there’s a possibility of it affecting a boys attitude towards women. Well, women play games too and yes, women play GTA! Shocking, isn’t it!?
Do you think it will affect their attitude?

The amount of feminist related articles covering the internet lately is ridiculous. “I’m a feminist and to prove it, I’m gonna walk around in my underwear”.
“I’m gonna record men staring at me and cat calling to show how wrong it is.”
“Women deserve to be treated as equals with equal rights and equal pay”

Here’s an example for you, the prize money for the Mens & Womens Wimbledon champion is the same because the women demanded it. However, the women have to win 2 sets while the men need to win 3. Is that fair?

A final note…it’s cheaper to kill a prostitute in real life. Save yourself €70 by not buying GTA to do it! ;-)

I was going to make a long point about how you can also kill random members of the public – male or female, Police – male or female in this game but this has been made many times and I don’t think this will resonate as relevant with the author anyway.

What really bothered me was: “It sends the wrong message to impressionable boys and men. And I don’t want it to exist in my world, and a world into which I might one day bring a child into.”

Firstly, I dislike the use of “MY world”, it’s OUR world, not just yours, no matter how narrow your views may be.

Then there is the fact that she is only concerned about poor impressionable men and boys, and not worried at all about any girls/women who play the game, and that it may affect them.

The “first version” of Grand Theft Auto came out in 1997 and you couldn’t murder prostitutes in it.

The player creates the scenario of killing the prostitute, not Rockstar. They don’t plug it as you seem to think. They are after taking a massive step forward with their first person mode and you see to think this bizarre prostitute killing scenario is the reason why, get real. There is so much more to do in the game.

Also, you can actually do yoga in the game, you should try playing it some time.

The evidence suggests that violent games don’t cause real-life violence. Suffice it to say, if someone murders a prostitute, it will be because they are a psychopath, and not because they had questionable taste in video games.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/violent-video-games-dont-make-you-aggressive–difficult-games-do-says-new-study-9246838.html

PS, while I am in no way suggesting the author is not entitled to their opinion, if The Journal is running a think piece on this subject, they should ask someone to write it who is aware of the wider debate around the subject of how video games represent women. Publishing an article on this topic in late 2014 that makes no reference to Gamergate, Anita Sarkeesian or Zoe Quinn is bewildering; it is the equivalent of an article about cancelled gigs that didn’t mention Garth Brooks, or a piece about the state of Irish politics that didn’t discuss Irish Water.

It’s bad to murder anyone in real life, but video games aren’t real life. As long as they stay that way, it’s no problem. In the end, if you don’t like a game, don’t buy it.

The lives portrayed in these reality shows are as far from reality as anyone will ever get and portraying this fantasy to young impressionable teenagers is simply wrong. Tackle issues close to home before going up against something that has no actual bearing in real life, if you run out of actual problems then maybe you can go after the game.

It’s documented that, in the past, people had these worries about other media, even including novels. How would gullible readers tell the difference between fiction and reality? How would people tell the difference between characters they’re supposed to detest and ones they’re supposed to admire – and might they start imitating the wrong ones? However, I’ve yet to see anyone say “I’m worried that *I* will be negatively influenced by these media, that reading, or watching, or playing might cause *me* to do terrible things.” It’s always other people who are supposedly so weak-willed. We esteem ourselves more highly.

“Can we really say this won’t influence attitude toward women?”

To borrow a saying “Yes, we can.”

I genuinely feel that the pervasive nature of celebrities (like the author’s favoured Kardashian’s), are more harmful to children than games which they are not (or should not be) exposed to. Last week Kim Kardshian tried to “break the internet”, by getting naked on camera, if you want to talk about what’s harmful to women, it’s her. She shows young women that to be considered successful, you bare all and collect a cheque and she shows young men, that this kind of behaviour is what women should be engaging in, which in turn pushes men to prompt that behaviour.

As many people have already pointed out, this is content for adults, not children, therefore it should not affect them whatsoever.Say whatever you want about the nature of the content, find it enjoyable, repulsive, hilarious or horrific. But don’t say it influences children. The only reason it could ever do so, is if they are given it by an adult (in most cases a family member).

I have no idea if this is an apochryphal tale or not, but when GTA III was released a woman sued Rockstar because of the graphic nature of the content that her grandson was exposed to (if memory serves he was in his early teens), the judge threw it out simply noting that the content was not for him and she should not have exposed him to it. The same applies here.

feminists don’t get outraged like that, a man can be raped and murdered and its ohh the poor fella, but if it happens to a women its an outrage, and we should all take to the streets and protest unless we are sexist, not to mention Feminists are the most sexist people on the planet because wheather they want to admit it or not, THE DO NOT BELIEVE IN EQUALITY!!!! they believe if a women hits a man he deserved it but if a man hits a women he deserves jail… even though women are guilty of domestic abuse, which is usually against a man who has a moral standard and wont hit a woman,

you want equal rights means if a woman punches me im gonna punch her right back because it would be sexist not to hit her cause she was a woman.

and GTA where do i go with this, you fail to mention selling drugs, robbing cars, banks… random shooting spree’s killing cops, but you did the typical Feminist thing and only got offended when it was a woman being killed……

Feminists are maybe not 100% of the time but id say a sizable chunk are sexist but use the women card, like some people would use the race card,

Duke nukem 90s kids will remember . Opening level in a strip club mowing down lap dancers who turned into giant pigs.

There are lots of games that portray women in a bad light and by contrast 90% would portray all Russians as being the go to bad guys.

That scene in grand theft auto ( not a fan personally, more of a Bethesda person) the feature was available in multiple games.

Many modern games paint nasty pictures and draw you in, but then the reality is do you hide everything non pc (like shooting cops Russians or if we remember people in airports -call of duty )or do you not buy your young son an over 18s game.

I don’t see the value of the feature but as a young man I remember playing vice city and was told by a friend to do the same in the game. Not appealing and rather unsettling , but then again 5 minutes later you were on a building with a rocket launcher counting how long you could survive on 6 stars .

I guess it’s a matter of content and parental consent on what games young people own. (I was raised on command and conquer and age of empires) Age restrictions should probably be taken more seriously, .

This article is really terrible pointless outrage firstly this is an over 18′s rated game so little boys should not be playing it and secondly this article was not researched at all this feature came in in the 4th game in the series GTA3, there is more violence against men in the game including sexual violence and one of the strongest characters in the game is Michaels wife who spends her time belittling her husband while living a pretty independent life. Maybe before printing this nonsense somebody should check what they are talking about.

As you are focusing on a minuscule part of the game which is optional let’s look at other optional parts of the game. .

You can drive home random avatars in the game who are too drunk to drive themselves, you have the option of intervening and stoping muggings and thefts if you wish, in past games you could play side games where you are a police officer, fire fighter or paramedic.

Are we going to see a lot more acts of random kindness and an influx of applications for the emergency services? It would be great if we did but No we are not, people do not base life changing choices on what they seen in a video game. It is entertainment, an escape from reality not an enhancement of it.

Like if you get to watch a female prostitute perform a sex act on virtual you can you get a man to do the same? If so then how many of you who play it chose the male prostitute to perform the sex act on you and then murder them or would chose the male to perform the sex act if you had the choice?

If you can’t then would you like this to be a part of the game? I mean if murdering men/ women is part of the game why is not having sex acts performed by male and female prostitutes part of it too?

I would be happy to see it in an open world game. The only problem with having such choice in GTA V is that the 3 main protagonists are straight and there are some important narrative elements that revolve around their love lives. To have them heading out looking for some stubbly fun might be a bit jarring.

But overall I personally would be happy enough to have male prostitutes or ‘Rent Boys’ present in a GTA style game. Would spice things up nicely!

    Interesting.

I suppose I was wondering because people always say (and alot of comments here) that video games are nothing to do with real life or what you do in real life is not reflected in video games, instead its all fantasy. no reflection of you or your real life and nothing to do with real life just fantasy. So I would’ve thought in that case that if its not a reflection of being straight or not in real life, you would see straight males using male prostitutes etc as their real sexual preferences are nothing to do with the game the same way in real life they wouldn’t kill people but in the game they do.

    Thanks for answering!!!

Also I’d like to know what evidence you have of anyone anywhere that played GTA5 and though “Maybe I should kill some prostitutes and disrespect women”.

Oh did you play the lovely Modern Warfare level where you can murder a load of people in an Airport? But that is not GTA so you probably don’t care about those virtual people.

I honestly don’t think anyone with the right frame of mind will develop a bad attitude toward women after playing GTA or whatever. Anyone with the right frame of mind will find its concept disturbing. I do fear that it enables those who do have a bad attitude. And we have a culture that tells women to shut up about these things when gender based violence is a real problem that does exist. So while we’re all telling women to shut up and get over it and it’s just a game etc, those who do think women are lesser and should be treated with as much contempt as a GTA stripper win.

And I know most disposable henchmen in games are in fact dudes – that bothers me too. I would like to see female adversaries that aren’t tokens or bosses or whatever. It’s a problem in TV and movies too. At least if female NPCs are like henchmen (henchwomen?) there’s no ick factor to killing them because they’re not strippers or prostitutes. There’s no level of manipulating them to get into a car with you or performing intimate acts for you before disposing of them. If they’re just bad guys who are out to get you killing them is more justified than killing a stripper.

Anyway…rambling. It’s difficult to convey why it’s bothersome.

It has always been an explicit game but that was the fun of it. I found the prostitutes and strip clubs didn’t sit well with me but at the age of 13 I didn’t really know why, then again I wasn’t meant to be playing it at 13. The game represents a virtual world where you don’t have to be politically correct or act within the law, that’s the point of it hence it will offend some people that are not familiar with the concept.

It made you cry? A little dramatic to say the least. If this clip really had that much of an affect on you perhaps you ought to stay away from video games as they do seem to have a ridiculously emotional effect on you.
But for the vast majority of people video games are A FANTASY. – i.e a place to explore things that cannot and should not be done in real life (Obviously…you would think).
If I want to walk down the street in GTA and shoot up a few bystanders for hilarity’s sake, that should be my right.
Now am I ever going to go out and do that in real life? No.
If you truly believe that violent video games have such a negative effect, then the same rule must apply to every violent movie, Tv show etc that is out there. Basically you would have to ban ANYTHING that even hints to violence at all. Good luck with that.

Hi everyone! Ignore this nonsense and if you really care join #GamerGate on Twitter. We’re dealing with this same social justice anti-gaming crap properly through months of slander and dirty tactics from a colluding industry press. No surprise that you won’t recognise the author as a regular, either. I’ve got 3 playthroughs of GTAV under my belt and I didn’t even realise prostitutes were still in the games. Bottom line- the act of soliciting sex is completely disconnected from the act of killing, and both are optional. Generally this is only done by lazy bloggers to demonise the games. It also highlights a complete lack of understanding of the world of satire the men and WOMEN of Rockstar have been building for years. They’re geniuses at the top of their game – a group the likes of which are nowhere else to be found in the industry.

Or maybe I just hate women, like the racist, demeaning, slandering, bullying, lying games media keeps telling me.

Reality TV shows like The Kardashians, putting unreal pressure on women to achieve unreal “expectations.” And you enable that by watching such fluff. I don’t want TV shows and media like that in my world. But they have a right to exist. So all I can do is not watch, or enable them. Think about that. Everything we do has an influence on our attitudes and outlook on life, even if it’s a “teeny” bit. GTA III came out in 2001 and players had the ability to get a prostitute into their car, take her down an alley, do the business as you do, and then murder her as she leaves. This isn’t a new thing, and your article is just because the graphics have improved a lot in the 13 years since III and that first-person mode has been added to the Xbox One, PS4, and pending PC release of GTA V. So why weren’t you shouting about this in 2001 for III? Or in 2002 for Vice City? Or in 2004 for San Andreas? Or in 2008 for IV? Nevermind the themes of racism, drugs, and guns, you’re only worried about mysognony.

This is where I draw the line. I’m an avid fan of the game and have been playing it since the first version came out on PC and PlayStation 1 in 1997. Since then I’ve murdered nobody, raped nobody, I’ve never driven offroad and onto a pavement, I drive on the left as per the Irish road system, and I’ve never thought about committing a robbery or heist. Therefore, based on that information, you could conclude that I’m not all that impressionable, but that others are. Let’s look at that a second. Remember that to buy any GTA game you have to be 18. What else do you have to be 18 to do? A lot of things, right? But let’s look at something specific – alcohol. There are people drinking every day who cannot resist the negative effects that alcohol has on them. People get violent when they drink, but not everybody does. But there are a good few, a noticeable amount, that do. So should we make alcohol purchase and consumption illegal? It doesn’t affect me badly, I’m silly when I’ve had a few, and not violent. How about you? The same? So why should we make a law that ruins it for the rest of us just because some idiots misbehave on the booze? We shouldn’t! The same can be said about driving. Some people shouldn’t be on the road, but for those of us who aren’t dangerous and have been driving for years or our whole lives accident-free, should we face the possibility that driving may become illegal – so we’ll all be taking the bus to just about anywhere? Bringing it back to GTA. If video games were impacting people negatively on a wide scale, then you could argue that it’s too dangerous. But like drinking and driving (not at the same time!), which can be dangerous for both the consumers and bystanders, the negatives aren’t overshadowing the benefits, hence why we don’t stop doing either – whether forced to do so or otherwise.

You said you don’t want GTA in your world. Fine. Don’t play it. Pretend it doesn’t exist. Get on with your life, hang out with friends who you like, and don’t take any notice of anyone you don’t like. It’s that simple. Oh, and don’t let your kids play the game until they’re 18! Or drink!

Right let me begin with saying I’m not actually a big fan of the GTA series, I think they are largely stupid and immature and live of a reputation they don’t really deserve both from a quality and controversy point of view.

Next point GTA V is around 18 months old, this is simply a remastered version for new consoles, this feature has been in the game since GTA 3 which must be about 10 years old now. So you’re a tad late to the party. Also the feature you speak of is a fraction of the moral issues that arise in this game. It is also just that a game, that’s rated 18s. While there’s no legal obligation to not sell it to people under that age most retailers will not. GTA games are designed to not be realistic, designed to be ridiculous so it’s pretty obvious you are in a game not real life. There are far worse games out there than GTA the problem is you possibly don’t play games so don’t know any others but the people who are against games and also don’t play them picked this as their poster child so you have too. It’s no more damaging than many films these days and far less damaging than The Kardashians I might add.

If you want to have a debate like this actually do some research, bring balance to the argument. You can also rob cars, banks, even aeroplanes and knock people over in the game but guess what I don’t have any rising need to do this or belief it’s Ok after playing the game.

I’d be in favour of banning kardadhisns & gta or at least toning down the violence bigtime – tho I know irl it ain’t going to happen anytime soon. Also advisory may be 18 but once it’s out of the shop, I’m sure there’s plenty of kids less than 18 get their hands in it. I don’t blame the author being grossed out by it one bit and find the laissez faire attitude to violence both sexual & otherwise in many of the comments I’ve read above and the vitriol heaped on the author quite disgusting and disturbing.

You say that liken this is happening just because it’s about games. You need to check out online forums about anything at all, it’s the same.

Personally I do find that she feels a need to look a certain way kind of contradictory to one or two of her points, I also feel that Kardashians is far more damaging than the vast majority of games, movies and TV so saying she watches this doesn’t help her argue one iota.

However this is an opinion piece based on an ad on the TV for a game that originally came out 18 months ago, with an element of game play that has been around 10 years in this series. People say the game is not violent for violence sake and they are right it isn’t but it does allow the player to be that way. I don’t really like the series as I said in another post but to say what the author has and expect not to be ridiculed is even more foolish than the article.
