1. #SHAREHOLDING: Michael McNicholas, CEO of Irish Water’s parent company Ervia, owns as much as €1 million worth of shares in a company that has a contract for water meter installation, the Irish Mail on Sunday reports. McNicholas is also an investment adviser to the board of the company, it is claimed.
2. #LICENSE FEE: The same paper also reports on the demise of the planned €160 broadcasting charge. Fine Gael ministers have confirmed it has been scrapped.
3. #JOBSTOWN: The Sunday World has identified one of those involved in last weekend’s blockade of the Tánaiste’s car as a convicted member of the Irish National Liberation Army.
4. #IRAN: Striking a deal on Iran’s nuclear programme by Monday’s deadline is looking increasingly unlikely, BBC News reports.
5. #ABUSE: As much as €2 million is still owed by the Christian Brothers to abuse victims, according to the Sunday Business Post. A financial review is being carried out to see if it can be paid.
6. #PENALTY POINTS: The Sunday Times reports that an internal probe into cancellations is being passed to GSOC, while details in the Sunday Independent reveal an audit found no evidence was provided where penalty points were cancelled for medical emergencies.

Absolutely no details whatsoever. We are left to speculate. Who wants to go first?
The guy was a half naked nutjob off his face roaring and running around in the middle of the street yards from the Europa hotel going after random taxi drivers at 4.30am. The PSNI had to protect everyone by using CS spray on him to allow them to restrain him. He only became unwell medically hours later. It’s protocol for the incident to be investigated externally but it’s likely officers did their jobs properly.

Time to ban tear gas.

And truncheons. And handcuffs. Perhaps abandon the police altogether.

Why tear gas why not handcuffs.
Probably needed to subdue first. Assuming it’s a breathing issue, maybe police vehicles should have a small oxygen mask setup for use after tear gas to help prevent problems. Could be a problem with drugs taken beforehand.
Ehh Police don’t use Tear gas in the UK, there’s a massive difference between CS spray and bloody Tear gas!!
