The day will be “bitterly cold” according to Met Éireann. And there’ll be some wintry showers in the course of the day.
“Snow on western and northern hills and possibly some sleet on lower levels,” the forecasting service’s website says.
There could be a flurry or two on higher ground in the east of the country too — and we’ll be lucky if temperatures reach between 3 and 6.
It’ll be a little warmer on Monday, but overnight frost will make driving conditions difficult for anyone heading to work.
At the moment (you may have noticed) temperatures around the country are hovering just above zero.
Tomorrow, however, will be milder than of late — highs of up to 11 degrees. It’ll be blustery though… especially in the north and west.
In short, avoid the hills of Donegal over the next 48 hours or so.
