Bill Cosby breaks his silence after rape allegations in (very) brief interview

He reportedly sounded “upbeat”.

BILL COSBY HAS broken his silence amid a flood of rape accusations in a very brief interview with The New York Post’s Page Six.

More than two dozen women have come forward to accuse him of having drugged and raped them. The alleged incidents go as far back as the 1960s.

In the interview, Cosby also addressed how his wife, Camille Cosby, has weathered the allegations and ongoing public scrutiny.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said.

Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.

“Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,” Cosby told the publication’s Stacy Brown, who noted that he frequently writes for African-American publications.

Cosby declined to address the rape and sexual assault allegations, though. According to the report, he’s been advised not to discuss the ongoing cases with the media.

Brown wrote that the comedian, speaking from his Massachusetts home, sounded “upbeat” on the phone.

The Page Six interview ended abruptly, though, when Cosby told the reporter that “they” don’t want him talking to the media.

He brings up the black media but they have as much interest in the black women who were allegedly assaulted.

So he thinks black media treats him nicer than general media…

Is he implying that general media treats him negatively because he’s black? As in he considers this a race issue?

I’d be more inclined to say that black media is reluctant to call him a rapist, because it itself is racist in favour of blacks.

Regardless, it’s a smart move for him to say that, the pragressives won’t know what to do. Continue calling him a rapist out of fear of being labeled a rape apologist by their peers or stop slamming him out of fear of being called a racist.

But wouldn’t the black media actually be reluctant to call him a rapist, in case they were accused of simply calling him a rapist to avoid being accused of racism because they refused to call him a rapist because he’s black?

Was it the same “black media” which upheld the standards when OJ was on trial for murder?

Alas Mark he actually cannot be tried as the Statute of Limitations saves him from a Trial. All that can be done is a civil case, which will never say he actually committed the crime, it will just say on the balance of probabilities that he may have and is thus liable financially, but will not be convicted or see any jail time.
