Cadbury takes shell-acking from angry customers after Creme Egg recipe change

*Gasps*

ONLINE SHOCK AND revulsion has greeted the revelation that Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate is no longer a staple of the Creme Egg recipe.

The news was first broken by The Sun who say that Kraft, the US owners of Cadbury, decided that the shell used in Creme Eggs will not be Cadbury’s Dairy Milk blend.

“It’s no longer Dairy Milk. It’s similar, but not exactly Dairy Milk. We tested the new one with consumers. It was found to be the best one for the Creme Egg, which is why we’ve used it this year,” the paper quotes a Kraft spokesperson as saying.

Cadbury has been scrambling to reassure customers that the Easter favourite is still made of their milk chocolate, even if it is not necessarily the ‘Dairy Milk’ variety.

Interestingly, Cadbury Ireland makes specific mention of the word ‘milk’ in its clarification.  The confectioner’s UK counterparts make no such definitive statement, even though they make it clear the Creme Egg shell is made from Cadbury’s chocolate.

Predictably though, the news has whipped up an instant backlash.

What’s more, Cadbury’s Ireland has confirmed that the multi-pack variety of this year’s Creme Eggs will have five creme eggs, not six as was the case previously.

What do you you reckon on the change?

But I also wanna say the eighth amendment is a problem and needs to be repealed. Unfortunately, I don’t trust our leaders to legislate adequately in its absence, but I also don’t want to punish vulnerable girls/women for FFG’s incompetence/apathy/corruption. The eighth amendment is a hindrance to adequate medical care. End of story for me.

    Get a grip on yourself.

    Tumours = always bad.
    Safe, low-risk pregnancies = good.
    Dangerous pregnancies = bad and stressful and worthy of all necessary medical care.
    Changing your mind about wanting a baby and opting for early abortion = not ideal but acceptable before 12 weeks’ gestation.

    What a croc of $h1t, this is just another excuse to increase retirement age. Teenagers won’t live past 100 just because they wer born past the year 2000, obesity rate is increasing? The only way people live long life’s is from living a healthy stress free lifestyle. Not by being a millennial fat litt1e $h1t

    This is nonsense. Diets are getting worse. Social isolation is getting worse. Commutes are getting longer. Antibiotics are losing efficacy. The divide between rich and poor is widening. People won’t live much longer.
