GARDAÍ HAVE POSTED the picture below on their Twitter account — as a way of highlighting the necessity of wearing a seatbelt.
No-one was injured in the crash, which happened near the Co Cork town of Ballincollig.
That’s despite the car dropping 15 feet off a roadside verge, and into fence-post.
The seatbelt reminder comes as drivers deal with treacherous road conditions in many parts of the country this morning.
Met Éireann have issued weather warnings for wind, ice and snow — and motorists are being urged to take note of the conditions as they go about their business…

Do you mean breaking speed limit or driving too fast to suit the road conditions at that time? The former only accounts for a very small percentage of road crashes.
Anyone of adult vintage that’s stupid enough not to wear a belt deserves to fly like Superman that one last time…..
Great road designs we have in this country, with 15′ drops, and no barrier to keep vehicles on the road, and a wooden fence at the bottom of the drop…
