Video shows Jewish journalist spat at and insulted as he walks through Paris

The video was filmed in a similar fashion to the popular “10 hours of walking in NYC as…” videos to show what Jews living in Paris face.

A JOURNALIST FOR an Israeli news website has released a video, in keeping with the popular “10 hours of walking in NYC as…” videos, which he claims shows what it is like to be a Jew on the streets of Paris.

At the start of the video, Zvika Klein dons a kippah, the traditional Jewish skullcap, and then sets off walking around the city. The footage, filmed over ten hours and condensed into 90 seconds of clips, shows a number of incidents of anti-Semitic abuse.

One two occasions, the journalist was spat at, and one man joked about his dog eating him.

Another commented to a friend: “Dude, he came here to f*** from the front and back”.

In his article on NRG, the journalist said the further he walked from the tourist attractions in the city, “the more anxious I became over the hateful stares, the belligerent remarks and the hostile body language”.

Walking into a public housing neighbuorhood, we came across a little boy and his hijab-clad mother, who were clearly shocked to see us. “What is he doing here Mommy? Doesn’t he know he will be killed?” the boy asked.

As mentioned already, the short video was cut together from ten hours of footage and the incidents seen in it occurred in predominantly Musilm areas of the city. Speaking to BBC, Klein rejected any suggested that he had been deliberately seeking negative comments by walking through these neighbourhoods.

“If I was walking around with an Israeli flag, I understand it might create negative feelings. But I don’t think [wearing a kippah] should generate that kind of thing”.

He also said there had been times when locals spoke out in his defence and engaged in friendly conversation but these were not filmed and included in the video.

The video has been watched almost 900,000 times in YouTube and was released the same day as the deadly shooting at a synagogue in Copenhagen. Yesterday, Denmark’s Prime Minister urged Jewish people not to emigrate after her Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, called for European Jews to leave the country for Israel.

My thoughts exactly,as awful as it is, it is relief or finality for someone out there (in a way). Maybe find lots more if they had the manpower to search and could finally let many families minds rest over the whereabouts of their loved ones

If the truth was known I am sure a majority of missing bodies could be found in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains.
It is such a vast and inhospitable area.
I guess if turf-cutting was to become more common place …who knows what they might find.

Sad, but the headline brings a slight smile. Like Wood Quay! Human remains in Tallaght? I should hope so.
