Dunno about the pepper spray but , if the Garda was trying to move the man on , he was going about it the wrong way by standing on his leg and immobilising the unfortunate.
The Garda should be asked what he was trying to achieve.

Any story arising out of our Finance Minister, Mr. Michael Noonan’s declaration that he is actively opposed to any deal or debt write down for ANYBODY (ie Greece), presumably because any such deal would expose this government’s lack of competence, courage, decency and a plethora of other qualities which we could only dream about for our public representatives?. I had formerly believed that Mr. Noonan was a reasonably decent man who had been promoted beyond his competence. I now realise that I was wrong, and this Bond holding Bilderberger is in fact an evil man, intent on further enslaving the population of this country, and pillaging our view remaining natural resources for his gain, and the gain of his buddies – who, like himself, fancy themselves as some sort of Masters of the Universe. It is bad enough that this man has utterly betrayed the people of Ireland – he now chooses to attack the Greeks, who have done us no wrong?!?

Yes, and is there any estimate on the benefits which have accrued to the country as a result? I look forward to attending a reception at my local Irish embassy with other leading Irish lights abroad, and am sure that there is a return on investment to those back in the old sod.
