1. #TRANSPLANT: An official HIQA inquiry into the circumstances of how Meadhbh McGivern, 14, was forced to turn down an offer of a liver transplant in London because she couldn’t make it there in time, has established that there were ‘four critical decisions’ which led to the transplant being cancelled. It also noted that there was no central authority charged with organising the transport.
2. #RACE FOR THE ÁRAS: Gay Mitchell has insisted he is not worried by his performance in yesterday’s Red C opinion poll, which put him on 13 per cent of the vote. Speaking on RTÉ Radio earlier, Mitchell also defended his letter seeking clemency for an anti-abortionist prisoner on Death Row in Florida, saying he had written simply because he found the death penalty to be “barbaric”.
3. #PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The long-heralded Metro North and Dart Underground public transport plans for Dublin are expected to be dropped by the Government for cost reasons. Minister for Transport Leo Varadkar will announce next month that the €5 billion projects are to be “deferred”. However, it’s hoped the Luas BXD interconnector between the Green and Red lines will go ahead as planned.
4. #SHANNON AIRPORT: Pentagon documents obtained by RTE have shown that the US military was prepared to withdraw from Shannon Airport in 2003 – but that the Irish government did not want them to do so. A US general said Ireland feared the withdrawal would ’send the wrong message’ in the aftermath of anti-war demonstrations at the airport.
5. #PHOTOSHOP: UK gossip magazine Grazia has admitted it did doctor a photograph of Kate Middleton on her wedding day – but insists that the move, which made the Duchess of Cambridge’s waist shockingly thin, was an error. The mag claims that the front page image was originally doctored to remove Prince William’s arm.

Still doesn’t beat the time we passed a car on the M50 one summer, where both the passenger and the driver were having an ice cream. Nothing unusual about that, until I saw the driver steering the car with his feet.
Unless your bones are made of rubber would be almost impossible to steer with your feet. Your knees maybe. If you steer with your feet you cannot excellerate
